B i o g r a p h y

Victoria Voumard began her career as a music educator in 1994 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, teaching elementary and middle school orchestra. She has been the orchestra director at Edwardsville High School since 2014 and currently has 125 students enrolled in the high school orchestra program.

Victoria is also an active freelance musician. Currently, she plays with St. Louis Chamber Soloists, 314 Quartet, Union Avenue Opera, Winter Opera St. Louis, St. Louis Ballet and Listeso Quartet. She has performed in orchestras with headliners Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, Josh Groban, Peter Cetera, Mannheim Steamroller, Frank Sinatra Jr., Clay Aiken, Barry Manilow, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Warren Haynes, Idina Menzel, Rod Stewart, 2Cellos, Michael Buble, The Who, "Weird Al" Yankovic, the Eagles, Beach Boys, Final Fantasy Orchestra and the musical Hamilton at the Fabulous Fox.

Victoria is passionate about music education and creating a classroom environment where every student feels valued. Research shows that music education helps students stay engaged in school and gain social-emotional skills like perseverance and teamwork. She is proud to teach in a school district that continues to prioritize the Fine and Performing Arts.
