B i o g r a p h y

Victoria Voumard is a violist and music educator. A native of Greenville, South Carolina, she received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Furman University where she studied with violist Leonard Schranze. She continued her post graduate viola studies with Victoria Chiang at the Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, Florida. She also attended the summer programs of Aspen Music Festival and The Quartet Program.

 

Mrs. Voumard values her role as a music educator. She began teaching in the public schools in 1994. She has been the orchestra director at Edwardsville High School in Illinois since 2014. In 2017, the EHS Symphonic Orchestra was selected to perform at the Illinois Music Educators Conference in Peoria, IL. Previously, she directed orchestra programs in West Palm Beach, FL, Spartanburg, S.C. and Alton, IL.

Mrs. Voumard is also active in freelance work. Currently, she plays viola with St. Louis Chamber Soloists, Union Avenue Opera, Winter Opera St. Louis, St. Louis Ballet, Pop! Pop! Pop! String Orchestra and performs chamber music with the Rosewood Ensemble. She has performed in orchestras with headliners Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, Josh Groban, Peter Cetera, Mannheim Steamroller, Frank Sinatra Jr., Clay Aiken, Barry Manilow, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Warren Haynes, Idina Menzel, Rod Stewart, 2Cellos, Michael Buble, The Who, "Weird Al" Yankovic, the Eagles and Beach Boys.
