The Edwardsville Orchestra program

has nearly 600 students in grades 4-12 led by a team of outstanding string faculty. The high school program features three performance based ensembles, Concert Orchestra 1, Concert Orchestra 2, and Symphonic Orchestra

The Edwardsville School District Orchestra Program is a place where student learning thrives and provides a welcoming environment for all. We believe that this is because of the incredible students that participate in orchestra, the phenomenal staff who believe that relationships with students are key to optimal learning, and more importantly, the incredible support of our families. Research shows music education helps students stay engaged in school and gain social-emotional skills like perseverance and teamwork.

Illinois State University Orchestra Invitational Festival on Friday, Feb 27, 2026 *All-Day*

Both Concert and Symphonic Orchestras are performing.

All orchestra students should arrive to school at 6:30am and we will depart EHS at 6:45am and return at 8:30pm. Students are allowed to bring food and beverages on the charter buses. We will not stop for breakfast, so plan accordingly. We have three charter buses that will be parked in EHS Circle Drive. Parents are welcome to attend any part of this festival experience either as a chaperone or driving on your own to observe the clinic and/or concert. Please let me know if you are able to ride with us and chaperone.

The clinic sessions begin at 10:00am in the Bone Student Center and The Festival Concert is 2:30-4:00PM at the Performing Arts Center with each high school orchestra playing a 20-minute mini-concert. The Festival concert is free and open to the public. Students should bring their own folding music stand (name labeled). The Festival dress for students is similar to Tiger Town: black pants or jeans (no holes or rips please) and an orchestra t-shirt or sweatshirt. Students need to bring money for lunch (in the Bone student Center) and dinner. We will stop for a fast-food dinner on the way home. Our expected return time to EHS is 8:30pm.

ILMEA All-State 2026

21 EHS music students made State and they will travel to Peoria January 29-31. ILMEA All-State will conclude with performances at the Peoria Civic Center on Saturday, January 31.
